Fitness to Fit you for Seniors


ParaStars Yoga® for the elderly is a seated yoga programme for adults with a disability or long-term health condition. Benefits include improved posture, fitness, physical & motor skills, spatial awareness, balance, co-ordination and flexibility. A stress relieving programme to increase confidence, range of movement & to enrich everyday life. These lessons include some exercises for upper body only and some exercises for upper and lower body, to offer diversity and levels. 

ParaStars Yoga® is fitness to fit you. This course is ideal for participants who have wide ranging disabilities and additional needs which include:

  • Disabilities and conditions which affect mobility and wheelchair users
  • People who are blind or visually impaired
  • People who are deaf or hearing impaired
  • People with autistic spectrum conditions
  • People with downs syndrome
  • People with cerebral palsy
  • People who have had injuries that affect their mobility and health

Natalie

Natalie is an experienced teacher and “industry pro” who has been working in the fitness industry since 2002 and has been specialising in yoga and functional movement since 2007. Her passion lies in “helping others to achieve better and safer movement within their own bodies”, which is why Natalie was keen to work with ParaStars Yoga®; “to reach out to those who are unable to attend her classes in person so that they too can benefit from her enthusiasm of free movement”.
