ParaStars Dance - Progressive Dance for Teens
ParaStars Dance™ for Teens is a seated dance & movement class for teens with a disability or long-term health condition. Upbeat music and fun dance moves will boost resilience and fitness. Teens will improve flexibility, muscle strength & well-being whilst seated at home or in another shared setting. Benefits include stress reduction, aiding flexibility, toning, fitness & helping to boost the immune system. Regular attendance will also improve core strength, motor skills, and posture and bring the confidence to learn a new skill. The lessons also help to enhance mental health & aid restful sleep. Our friendly teacher will guide you through a range of themes and styles to increase your range of movement, focus on rhythm and boost your well-being. Get ready to have fun while you dance!
**Classes include some exercises for the upper body only and some exercises for the upper & lower body to offer diversity and levels**.
This course is made up of 10 lessons and some props are included.

Vicky
Vicky has been a dancer and choreographer from a young age. She attended The Guildford School of Acting for three years and has since had a varied career in the world of theatre and dance.
As a dance teacher she has worked for various Academies and schools and has spent ten years as Head of Performing Arts at a school in Surrey. In theatre, she has worked as director/choreographer and also extensively as a company and stage manager, touring theatres all over the UK.
Vicky is a member of the dance team at Synergy and has enjoyed creating workshops and online content for the Synergy Outreach Creative Dance program. Her favourite thing about teaching dance is having fun with people who love to dance, at any age and any experience, and she loves choreography! Vicky has a friendly teaching style and inspires her students to feel that anything is possible.
